Mark Davey was born in South Wales. His early life was shaped Socially, Politically and Culturally by the Thatcher Government who declared economic war on mining communities across the country. He attended Porth County Comprehensive School and went on to achieve a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Studies and a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (Post Grad) at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. He was also able to take part in an Erasmus exchange with the School of Public Policy in Berlin, Germany.
He has followed a career as a Social Worker, specialising in Terminal Illness, a Church Youth & Community Worker at Bethel Baptist Church Tonypandy and a College Lecturer in the school of Care and Childhood Studies at Coleg Y Cymoed.
He is married to the love of his life DeeDee and they both ran a highly successful Organic Catering Company and Healthy Eating Cafe Bar called Jester's.
Mark's first book is called "A Very British Tale" and is a humorous fantasy adventure story using the British Royal Family as characters.
He currently lives between London and Wales and is involved in local politics as much as time allows.
